Excuse the ignorance but this is the first job we have done since the new F10 came in.
Q - when did the new F10 come into effect?
Q - is there a grace period when old F10's are still OK?
Q - we have been forwarded an old F10 by the CDM-C, is this OK (same question really)?
Q - is it my place as Principal Contractor to bring this to the attention of the CDM-C?
Regards
Mike

It didn't - it isn't mandatory.
That said, neither is the "old" F10.
The Regulations only require that certain things listed in a Schedule to the Regs are notified.

Yes Ian - the link page you give says that Form F10 can be used............it doesn't say MUST be used.
As we've discussed on previous threads, a mandatory requirement to use F10 would require a change to the Regulations themselves.

Yes Ron I agree, although I was only replying in response to the interactive electronic form query...

As Ron carefully points out the F10 is the form offered by the HSE for use. It is incorrect to call any other form an F10 - they should be titled Notification of Project Particulars. Older versions of the F10 drawn up before the new version was issued are clearly still acceptable it is just that this version will go to the HSE area office instead of Bootle.
Personally I think the new F10 will produce the exact position that the HSE intended to eliminate - Clients will not view the form online and expect the CDMC to sign electonically.
