Hello,
My company is setting up a small transport workshop in Kuwait for a short duration (9 months) contract.
I certainly do not wish to presume UK legislation is to a higher standard than that of Kuwait, however I intend to use the RRO(FS)O 05 'Transport Premises and Facilities' guidance as a starting point concerning my Fire Safety Risk Assessments, as this is my company policy.
My question is: Where can I find Kuwait fire regulatory information? I need this in order to ensure I have abided by the law of the land (I know, I have the knack of stating the obvious at times...).
It would be very nice indeed if such information was available online, however no results on google.
Can anyone help?

Hi,I appreciate your search for the right information about Fire Legislation in Kuwait.However, I would suggest you to contact the CDD(Civil Defense Directorate (Fire dept),Ministry of Interior,in Kuwait or contact Ministry of Labour & Social Affairs, Occupational Health & Safety dept, or the Ministry of Petrolium,Oil & Gas dept. You may take this information from the Telephone Directory (Kuwait) and ask assistance to get the Contact tel. nos, fax or e.mail.details.
As in Gulf,we do follow the U.K. standards to a certain level,1) A Risk assessment of building premises is esssential,esp Auto Workshop 2)Fire detection system,& Fire fighting equipment (fire extinguishers), ESCAPE route,Signage & Fire evacuation plan. best regards,
