Posted By Kev Ran Hello All, We are a manufacturing facility and have been approached to take on a 14 year old lad for two weeks work experience. The plan would be for him to shadow a competent person in observing diffrent activities. Does anybody have an example of a risk assessment that I could look at in order to get direction to base mine on? Many thanks and best wishes, KR

Posted By CW - No Post Nominals When my nephew did his work experience, the school undertook the YPRA, they worked closely with the company to make sure everything was covered. Why not contact the school and request a meeting with their assessor.

Posted By Pete48 Kev, use this link to see a useful one stop page of info about work experience, how it works, how to plan for it, things you have to do by, some notes on prohibitesd activities, some sample risk assessments for WEX etc. http://www.cornwall.gov....index.cfm?articleid=2112We all naturally worry more about kids and the duty of car is higher but it is quite simple to manage such short term experience, it usually distills down to decent supervison and some prohibitions. I hope this helps you to make this a rewarding experience for both your company and the child involved.
