Posted By philip john Hi does any one have a picture of a MEWP/Scissor lift that has fallen into an excavation that I could have please. I have been searching for about 2/3 hours for this specific picture(s) to get the message across on a construction site for the need to have edge protection when MEWP's / Scissor lifts are in the vicinity when working from them. PS driving me insane finding what I need. Thanks Phil

Posted By philip john when I say excavation what I mean is the excavation was carried out underneath concrete i.e the concrete was cut away then the ground underneath was excavated so the MEWP/Scissor lift was on solid ground when cladding the building. To show the principle contractor the seriousness of ensuring edge protection was erected so the MEWP/SCISSOR lift could clad the building without falling to the excavation. I believe I will never find what I am looking for. Never mind thanks for the help. Phil

Posted By Dave Merchant I wonder if such a specific accident has ever happened *and* been photographed, *and* the photo is in the public domain. It's probably happened alright, but even if the HSE/OSHA/etc. took photos they're not usually published. Of course if you really need it, anything can be faked these days, given a suitable graphic artist and a suitable remuneration.

Posted By philip john Now now don't be facetious, the company I work for are very committed to health & safety they just need to be pushed in the right direction to understand all the hazards that surround their every day activities. It amazes me why such a site dedicated to health & safety has so much bitching going on around the forums when questions are asked. Why do certain threads always revert to bitching from people when important issues are debated. Sometimes I wonder if its worth asking questions when this occurs Phil
