Posted By Tabs I think Badger has a valid point. Whilst I was studying my degree, IOSH came and chatted to us (Norman, as I recall) about the benefits of belonging - but to a student looking at his beer tokens, I could see no benefit until I wanted to get a job. Once I joined, I couldn't wait to get those precious letters on the cv. It is a genuine incentive and I think could be extended. Earning stripes is good - but that is what the different grades are all about. A basic entry level entitlement wouldn't hurt :-)

Posted By IOSH Moderator If you wish to discuss the issue of membership grades and entitlements further, then we would like to invite you to start a thread on the issue in the Members Forum. The moderators now feel that this particular thread has reached the end of it's useful life as it has strayed from the issue raised in the original post. We are therefore locking it under AUG 1.
