Posted By Swis There are no known risks to workers associated with photocopier in regards to leakage of toner or any other chemicals used in the photocopier, neither there are any type of known electromagnetic emission risk. The only possible hazards would be electricity, manual handling, entrapments etc.

Posted By Swis forgot to add; Hormonal changes in pregnancy increase the risk of injury from lifting and moving goods, equipment, etc. Problems may be greater during the later stages of pregnancy and in the early stages following childbirth

Posted By Swis Dominic, Please refer to the followings; www.lhc.org.uk/members/pubs/factsht/76fact.pdf www.unison.org.uk/acrobat/B178.pdf another useful/approved document is a HELA Circuler – LAC90/2 – Photocopiers Again as I mentioned earlier, there are no known risks for occasional use. However, if involved in prolonged use, you need to be aware of the following hazards associated with photocopier; Ultraviolet light (radiation) Toner (inhalable dust) Ozone (ionisation of air) Heat ACCESS OF ANYTHING IS BAD FOR YOU!!!

Posted By Merv Newman Not forgetting, and I have said this, before, pregnancy is a dynamic conditon. (not an illness) so the state of the concerned person (one presumes a lady) can change from day to day and from week to week. So there can be no definitive "Pregnancy Risk Assessment" Not forgetting that she could be carrying an extra 10 to 20 kilo. Her feet HURT and need frequent rubbing. But you can sub-contract that. Best not to, though. Merv (father of only one. (I think) But I remember it well)
