Righty-ho, now I'm not too sure on this one but; I think that you will find that fencing around an electrical sub-station is no longer PC. I believe that if you have a new sub-station it needs to be totally enclosed, with a roof an all. Stops kiddies getting in and/or kicking balls over or in the case of my mate, throwing great big king-dick spanners in. Anyone in Liverpool remember a big black out in the early 70s?

Try to ask one of the many electricity companies. Trouble is as its now Thursday I am not sure what they are now called this week.

Crack on.

You could try looking at the Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations 2002 and the supporting guidance. Otherwise, as already suggested, you could contact one of the electricity distribution companies or possibly the Energy Networks Association.

2.4 m fence or wall. Better still are the purpose built fibre glass enclosures, not suitable for every situation but they offer excellent protection against the elements.
