I'm currently trying to improve the safety management systems regarding the use of Mobile Aluminium Towers at my company and have developed inspection forms to link in with the weekly checks however felt the "Scaf tags" for towers to be very costly from the main association linked to MATs especially for such a disposable item.
Has anyone any good supplies of scaf tags for towers or know of a suitable alternative?

Good management system for towers may be;
get op's trained to manufacturers erection requirements (do not worry about being PASMA trained)if these are all you are going to use,you can do this by erecting a tower together in house. get all ops to sign to say they have attended.
carry out generic assessment for erection and ensure all who will use the towers are aware of it's contents
Carry out regular visual inspections of tower components and record
carry out seven day inspections and record, inspection form requirements found in schedule 7 WAH regs.
Scaff tags are not a legal requirement they are a companies way of making more money
Monitor erection and job at regular intervals and record findings

I don't really understand what you are trying to ask. However, for information regarding Mobile Tower Scaffolds, contact PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers Association).
Their website contains a huge amount of information.
