Happy New Year to you all.
Can any body point me in the direction of where to find information regarding trustees responsibilities for a charitable foundation. Are they same as the Directors responsibilities?
Many thanks in advance

If you are specifically asking about H&S responsibilities, then I would say Trustees are pretty similar to Directors. However, normally an employee of the charity can't be a Trustee (the Charity Commissioners may make an exception, as they have for IOSH).
So, if the charity has employees, the CEO will have very similar H&S duties to a managing director, even though possibly not a Trustee. Also all the Trustees will be part-time, so more akin to non-executive directors than the executive directors at whom the IOD/HSE Guide in mainly targeted. Thus Trustees will be more 'hands-off', but still with an important oversight role for H&S.

The Board of Trustees of the Science Museum were prosecuted by HSE in a s3(1) legionella case. Does this mean Trustees can be legally responsible as an employer ?
