i have just completed a revised course that covered the new CPR process. It involves more compressions at a faster rate.

check the red Cross site, I'm sure they will have documentation to assist you.

I don't think things have changed for a while. 2005 was the change from 15 compressions to 30 and a change in the way rescue breaths are administered.

Rate should still be the same - aim for about 100 a minute,

The current CPR protocols and issued by the Resus Council in 2005 were introduced by the Voluntary Aids Societies in 2006. The cuurent protocols are now that 30 chest compressions (at a rate of 100 per miniute and pushing down 4-5cm on the centre of the chest), are given followed by 2 rescue breaths.

Current First Aid training offerred by St John includes the 30 to 2 CPR and is trained as oart of thier first aider training course. Therefore is now included as part of the FAAW training course. This is now so well advanced I cannot see where anyone who has bothered to refresh thier certification would be unaware of the revised specification.
