I wonder if those involved in aerospace industry or aviation might have something for you. A trawl of MOD/RAF sites might help. FOD (Foreign Object Damage) is a BIG issue in aero-engine and other systems and aviation generally.
I'm guessing that birds in flight won't be such a big problem for you though! ;-)

Hi Garry,

I am involved in the power industry, in particular (FME). Have a look at www.wano.org.uk www.inpo.info, the aviation industry call this area FOD Foreign object debris, foreign object debris, they also have a number of web sites with info. If you want any further info let me know. Regerds Ken.
