Posted By Andrew Beveridge Can anyone point me to information on a system that cuts out a fork lift if it has a 'bump' of a certain magnitude?
Once cut out, the truck needs a manager code in order to re start it, thereby allowing us to record the who/where/when/why of any bumps.
Any help gratefully received.

Posted By Barry Cooper Transmom was used in our mill, and it was not used well. Yes, it has a sensor on to cut the truck off if it struck an object. Trouble is if set to fine, it would cut out when going over a bump, too course and it did not detect a collision, eventually we gave up on it. Sometimes it would trip when driving down hill or raising a load, which is not recommended. When it did trip out you had to insert a PIN which the supervisor had. Also every driver had his own PIN to start the vehicle. You then had to download the unit to a computer to analyse the data. The theory was great, but in practice very time consuming
