A new source of cheap alcohol !

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7920576.stm

Hospitals are removing alcohol-based hand cleaning gel from reception areas as visitors are drinking it.

Apparantly it goes quite well with orange juice.

Do non NHS users have this information ?

Merv (can't possibly beat a decent beaujolais)(could it ?)

Well if they will make you wait so long and charge you your remaining arm and leg for a coffee...

A friend (a policeman in the north east)arrested a gentleman who was drinking petrol from an ASDA forecourt.

Needless to say eyebrows were raised when they sat him the back of the car and he asked for a light :)
Do they make those electronic cigarettes with ATEX ratings?

This is not new. It has been on and off a problem in hospital wards.

However, keep in mind that this is not pure ethanol, but usually a blend of ethanol, isopropanol and various additives as emollients.

The results of drinking it can be quite interesting!!!!

Incidentally, you would have to take out the pack from the dispenser to get any quantity.

Try a little taste - the ones I know all taste foul!

Yuk ! Serves them right if they get sick as it's not pure alcohol, but a combination of different types. In fact Isopropyl alcohol is a favourite - definitely not to be consumed !
