Hi, I have recently attended a fire marshal course and was hoping to put together an internal training session to train out to our staff. Is it ok to do this or will they need to be trained by an external company?

I expect you'll get a fuller answer from some of my learned posters here but I'm not aware of anything that says anyone has to be trained by someone external to the organisation.
More to do with competence in context, BC.

You don't identify what pre-existing experience/competence you may have in fire safety; so - Assuming that your employer now considers you competent to produce an appropriate fire warden/marshal training scheme after having attended the unspecified quality course that you mention, the ansewer to your question has to be "Yes".
This begs the question of whether your employers fire safety regime is appropriate & sufficient!!!
However, as in H&S, if you do not consider that you have sufficient competence to undertake the role you should clearly identify thisto your employer BEFORE you do anything as they are duty-bound to ensure that you are suitably competent.
