I am trying to get a gauge for my organisation (NHS).We need to arrange for an external auditor to complete an audit. Also need to consider a basic 'Audit skills Course' to enable more consistent audit within the organisation. Just approximate costings really

Number of persons or numbers of premises or some indication of scope and scale of audits and of training or mentoring required??

Approximately 10 community bases/ varied numbers of staff. Two main hospital sites with 2 x inpatient facilities (28 beds)+ the main headquarters with 2 buildings housing office based staff

In answer to the 2nd part of your question - both IOSH & BSI run suitable courses to provide internal auditor competence which, as an independant consultant, I can recommend.
