Posted By PETER94 Hi i wonder if anyone can help, I was leaving an underground car park (on private property) at a place of employment(i was sub contracted) so not my regular place of employment, when a roller shutter came down whilst i was exiting and hit my motorbike and arm causing compact crush injury. I am trying to find information regards whether the company (a city council) should of informed me of this car park roller shutter. Whether they had a duty of care regards Health and Safety to inform me as a sub contractor of the shutter and did they need to do a risk assessment as i am a motorbike user and not a car (would the PIR sensor still pick me up). Any help regards legislation,road safety legislation, private car park regulations, health and safety acts etc would be very useful. Thank you for your time!
