Does anybody have any info on the changes to the CE machinery Directive as we are a small to medium firm who manufacture bespoke engineering machinery for the construction / manufacturing industries.

From what I can understand is that there is no transition period this new regulation will go live on the 29Th December 2009! Some of the fundamental changes are for example the project engineer must put his/her name on the CE certificate of conformity or cert of incorporation? has anybody else aware of any other changes? Are there any other issues that would effect health and safety?

Kind regards

Sir G

You may also like to have a look at the BSI website:

TH42073 contains much guidance on the change over from 98/37/EC to 2006/42/EC
