I am currently looking for a job in Health and Safety, I have the NEBOSH Cert and Im currently waiting on my last Diploma result, alot of jobs are looking for an environmental diploma or degree.
Which environmental diploma is better, the NEBOSH environmental or IEMA diploma?

check the CIWM / IEMA bodies as as yet I do not think that NEBOSH is as recognised as the others but I could be wrong

I am currently doing the NEBOSH Env Dip. I feel it will be useful course to do in today's climate, although like the rest of the NEBOSH courses I have done in the past ( distance learning ) it is never easy to complete successfully without having to work diligently through the material.
More and more employers are looking for staff who have environmental knowledge and application nowadays in conjunction with h & s & quality management.

Hi Michael,
I did the NEBOSH Cert & NEBOSH Env Diploma (you get AIEMA) and 2 weeks after my Env Dip exams got a job.
Its seems NEBOSH "anything" pricks the ear. Although the IEMA Diploma may prove very useful in the future, as its a very new course.
Good luck with whatever you choose, I personally found the Environmental course very interesting!

IEMA is an environmental body, NEBOSH a health & safety body. I have the diploma, but an IEMA environmental auditor course and am studying OU for a BSc in Env. Studies.
My opinion is stick with the body, as you wouldn't do NEBOSH Accounts would you?
