Posted By Andy McGrath We'Ve recently purchased a new step stool, which has come without any instructions or user manuals.
Can anyone point me in the direction of where I might find a generic Risk Assessment or further information for the use of one?

Posted By Descarte I deleted my sarcastic answer, I hope you find the following useful The Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR) http://www.hse.gov.uk/falls/downloads/1and2.pdfEXAMPLES WHERE PRECAUTIONS MAY NOT BE NEEDED: LOW TRESTLE eg 1 metre high, with grass surface below, may justify no fall prevention/protection as risk of injury is unlikely KNEE HIGH KICK STOOL warrants nothing other than stool being stable, good condition etc http://www.hse.gov.uk/fo...ops/nsd/hrm/bsshrm18.pdfWhen using kick stools care should always be taken. Ensure the stool is on a level solid floor, do not use behind doors or on main passage ways. Always stand on the stool with both feet. Do not stretch to reach an article, if you can’t reach step down off the stool and move to a closer position.
