Hi all

I've been asked in a tender document the accident rate & accident frequency rate & for the life of me cant remember how to work it out, i know it's a number of operatives X hours worked X accidents. Can someone advise me on this please. By the way surprised there's no April Fools questions on here yet.

Thanks in advance

Appendix 6 of HSG65:

Number of Injuries in the period / total hours worked during the period X 1 000 000

You could also do the injury incidence rate

number of reportable injuries in financial year / average number of employed during year x 100 000
