Posted By Safety Lemon RDOT I am not sure of any legislation but following risk assessment all of our mobile plant have been fitted with fire extinguishers. It has subsequently been a requirement of our insurance provider. I would check with them first, because even if there is no legislation and they see it as best practise then you would have to apply it anyway, so good place to start! It could be the environment you are working in, etc that affects the requirement. SL.
