Anyone else get fed up with the same response when phoning professional bodies for advice of 'depends on what the risk assessment states' or words to that effect. I am often phoning them whilst compiling the r/a and requiring further information.

Posted By Chris Packham I'm not sure if I have ever said "Depends upon the risk assessment.", but I have frequently said it depends upon the circumstances, conditions, chemicals used, methods of use, etc., etc. I am frequently asked over the phone and by e-mail for advice about a particular chemical and exposure scenario. Trying to give advice is a bit like being a GP asked by the husband in the surgery to diagnose his wife's chest pains when she is still at home! Would you trust a GP who did this? Chris
