Hi
Does anybody have an example of a risk assessment for manufacture and automatic dosing of chlorine gas from hydrochloric acid and sodium hypochlorite?

An obvious conclusion of such an assessment would surely be that there are safer ways, i.e. using manganese dioxide or potassium permanganate in conjunction with HCl?

Is that such an obvious conclusion?
The two chemicals used are controlled adequtely in MHO.
The problems I forsee are more what happens and can go wrong once the chlorine has been produced.
Just wanted to know if anybody has had previous experience of this.

ensure piping is resistant to chlorine
i think not all st/st is resistant to chlorine
watch out for braided flexible hosing
with respect, if you're messing with chlorine, then perhaps you should know all about the hazards of chlorine before messing with chlorine
