Sorry to bring up an old thread but can anyone offer some pointers with regard to Fire Risk Assessment of Communal areas.

Not housing association or anything like that but just blocks with flats that are rented out.

Assumming RRO etc applies but how far does one go?

Fire law does apply and the landlord is responsible - speak to your local fire people and your insurers will not be happy if no such RA is in place

To clarify, landlord responsible for completing a general fire risk assessment for common areas only?
