Dear All,

I am working as HSE Specialist in a company (Eqiupment Rental) in Dubai.My work is based at its Yard.As you know that many company are removing employee for cost cutting due to recession.I am also worry about my job. Please suggest me what activities I can do to show management that HSE department is not use less.
Company Manpower- 250
Activities at Yard- Welding/Cutting,Painting, carpentry,Handling Materials (Chemicals),use of Mobile crane, fork Lift, Air compressor, power tools,Mechanical work (repaire of Generators, tools.

Please help me.

Dear All, Still I haven't got any response. I have all ready done- 1. HSE Policies & Procedures Manual 2. Risk Assessments 3. Emergeny Plan 4. I am conducting weekly trainings to all workers (different topics)5. doing safety inspection of yard.

please tell my what more i can do, to improve safety standard..................

Try to use your knowledge of the various processes to present to management cost cutting ideas [ or as some say efficiency ideas]as the risk assessment process is an ideal tool for such evaluations

Do you have any accident / incident figures you can use to show reduction in rate; to show how training etc has improved safety on site.
