Posted By prads Hi Bob, We are planning to do sheet piling to support an excavation for pipe laying activities. For this we are using a 50T mobile crane and vibro-hammer. The sheets are going to be driven to a depth of 6m (till hitting the hard strata) and after driving the sheets for 50 m on both sides, excavation will be done. Piles will be laid and the trenches back filled. The same procedure will be repeated after removing the earlier driven sheets. As i have not undertaken an activity similar to this before, I thought of seeking help. Regards, Prads

Posted By A Campbell Prads, It may be of benefit to request a risk assessment from the contractor doing the piling work and if separate the excavation in order to assist you in a full picture of the work being undertaken and a full blown assessment?
