Posted By ian_f Hi, Somebody has told me that you can purchase a drip tray for a jerry can and or a facility to maintain said can/tray in place. I am looking for something similar to install in our fleet where small amounts of petrol/diesel is carried for powering tools etc. Can anybody help me...?! thx

Posted By Ron Hunter Drip tray tends to imply your containers are prone to leaking - in which case you need new containers! Seriously though, your local jobbing joiner will soon knock you up some reasonably close-fitting plywood sectional boxes to fix onto the floor of your van. A bit of bungee-cord over that and the job's a good 'un?

Posted By A Campbell Ron is on the right track! I would be more concerned as to the fumes/vapours being released than ploughing costs into collecting drips! If the cans are not secure and lids being dislodged when being knocked about consider.. securing them (as Ron says) Ensure they are free from damage and no leaks Control exactly how much fuel they are carrying and if appropriate?

Posted By Ron Hunter Additional - human behaviour being what it is: Don't secure this storage so near the vehicle doors as to tempt your people to fill the cans without removing them from the vehicle. Rather teach them that all containers MUST be removed from the vehicle and placed on the ground for filling. No vapout filled vehicle compartments, no issues with static discharge!
