I wondered if anyone had come across a simple to use CAD program for drawing fire plans that is either reasonably priced or free?
I am looking for something that can draw basic line drawing diagrams of buildings and then insert appropriate symbols for alarms, call points extinguishers, fire doors etc?
Any help welcome.

My 13 year old son has just introduced me to google draw - the basic package is free to use. Have little experience with it yet but at first sight looks quite good.

I use TurboCAD but it is too complicated for simple line drawings, really.

more info please as if you are just making things clearer for the day to day work force as part of other exercises then you may only need something simple but if your drawing is going further than that you may need some competent help

I use Microsoft Visio, it's really easy to use and provides really good drawings
