Posted By GeoffB4 Does anybody know of an idiots guide to signing/labelling vehicles. A client occasionally carries UN3106 - organic peroxide type d, solid (dibenzoyl peroxide) around in a van (usually delivered by haulier but now and needs a top up. On the same basis UN1866 (Resin Solution Flammable) is also handled. In both cases the maximum amount handled at any one time is one ton but usually no more than half a ton. I'm looking for something that tells me clearly and unambiguously the labelling requirements for the vehicle and the amounts that can be carried. Any ideas?

Posted By Pez Hargreaves If you exceed 333kgs/lts of UN 3106 you will need to mark up the vehicle, ie. orange plates. Regarding the UN 1866 this will depend on the Packing Group, if the product is PG I then after 20kgs/lts you will need to mark up the vehicle, if it is PG II then you will need to mark up after 333kgs/lts, PG III would be 1000kgs/lts. The info you require is in ADR (European Agreement concerning the international carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road)Chapter 5.3. If you are under the amounts mentioned above then you need to refer to Chapter 1.1.3.6.2. Let me know if you require further help.
