Posted By Nicholas Debono Dear all, I am looking for a good source of information for the drawing up of a Health and Safety Plan. I have been involved to draw up other safety plans in the past for relatively small projects but I am now preparing for a large civil engineering project and I am aware that the plan needs to go in further dept and dynamics. I will be grateful if any of you fellow safety professionals can indicate me a good book, guidelines, code of practices, websites or other sources of information that might be useful. Thank you in advance Nicholas

Posted By Crim Do you mean Construction Phase Plan? If so the guide to CDM has the exact format, just follow that and you can't go wrong.

Posted By Pete Sutton Im a bit worried that a person designated to put together a CPP doesnt know about the CDM 2007 ACOP... i would therefore ask you to question your own competence as a Principal Contractor under the Regs?

Posted By Nicholas Debono Dear Pete, I am aware of those regulations but one thing I didn't mention is that I am living in Malta and that the CDM regulations are vested into another legal notice in our country. What I really wanted is to have a good source of information to cross check the details in the plan and to make things right from the beginning. Even though the CDM regulations are not our legislation I think that it would be a good idea to have some publications in which details are better explained than in the regulations themselves. One other reality that we face in my home country is that we don't have any publishers or bodies willing to spent time on typical publications to sell a dozen!! Nicholas
