Hi
We've been working on fire life safety plans for all our offices in the Europe Middle East and Africa region and come up against several problems. Our latest query is regarding our Frankfurt office - they don't have break glass points and instead phone through to the security office to report a fire. What we want to know is is this compliant with the relevant legislation?
Also if anyone has any guidance on good source of information/legislation for Europe it would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

I am working on a review of Germany companies safety systems so maybe this will help.
Fire safety and planning - DIN 14096 part 1-3.
In essence there are lots of state regulations that govern the technical aspects of fire precautions. In my experience the level of compliance with this in older offices etc is limited. That is anecdotal my main experience is with high hazard sites.
If you are getting stuck drop me a note off line I have a few contacts in the Feuerwehr that may be able to help.
