What is maximum length of extension leads in construction environment?
According to Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment
CSA Maximum length (in meters)
1.25 mm2 12
1.5 mm2 15
2.5 mm2 25
What is exactly CSA? Is it cable size approx?

cross-sectional area of the L N & E conductors.
To which Code of Practice are you referring?

Lukasz,
Are you sure the CSA isn't related to PA Testing?

it relates to the cross sectionnal area of the core size (size of wires inside flex) the thicker the core size then the
longer the cable you can suitably use. It relates to volts drop.
Voltage drop is the reduction in voltage in an electrical circuit between the source and load. In electrical wiring national and local electrical codes may set guidelines for maximum voltage drop allowed in a circuit, to ensure reasonable efficiency of distribution and proper operation of electrical equipment

Yes it will be related to PA Testing, because it states what should be maximum lengths so if I would inspect longer one it should be classified as faulty.
Faulty because:
"The length of an extension lead should be checked to ensure that it is not so great that the appliance performance may be affected by voltage drop" And it states it should be no greater than these which I included in previous post.
I am asking this question because most construction sites require electric tools to be PA Tested.
So what is best practice on other sites?

It is, in the sense that during the initial visual examination you will check that the extension lead meets the IEE recommendations regarding length for the particular CSA.
