Dear Moderator.
If you had resisted for a moment longer the thread would have been widened to discuss the human urge to ignore warnings. A novel way of starting a discussion I thought, but you know what thought did.

Will you ever learn?
If you want to discuss an issue you should not abuse people by posting false titles

Bob,
the idea was to set the scene with the temptation to open the thread even though it was warning you not to. The thread would have then been opened up by myself into a general discussion about human behaviour / temptations. Yes the process was flawed in me believing people would refrain from commenting on the thread (even though I had asked them not to) until I could then open the discussion with readers chomping at the bit.
and as for learning, oh yes... never underestimate......

People don't have time to wait for would COULD be an interesting discussion.
Naming the subject as it was and then having the information straight away displayed would of been OK.
It would yield the exact same results as it would record when someone entered the discussion.

Wil, either your logic is flawed or your instruction (warning) is inadequate. It is either imprecise or a totally inappropriate message or method to warn of danger. This is a forum where the natural response it to open a thread to see what it contains, the title then would be perceived as an information label and not a warning.
It is in fact a simple trap and that may be why you have received few replies. One very strong human response occurs when people feel they have been duped or tricked. That I would suggest is the outcome of your attempt to trap fellow posters.
There is, however, one significant H&S issue in your post which is worthy of note. It is the proper design, content and above all the context of warnings that is far more important than any perceived human trait of ignoring them.

And of course - not withstanding the moderators can remove a post that is not workplace health & safety related; which clearly was the case with respect to the removed thread.
Now which bit of workplace H&S is this one discussing then?

As the thread doesn't seem to have found it's way to discussing workplace health, safety or environmental issues - it has been locked for breach of Acceptable Use Guideline 1.
It will however remain on the forums as valuable object lesson on "the human urge to ignore warnings" in order that we can all read and learn.
