Posted By Nigel Richards Does anyone have any contacts for PPE recycling? We have old stuff (especially hard hats and high vis coats/vests) that we would like to recycle; and no one in our group has any way of disposing of it.

Posted By Dave Merchant Basic site hats can be recycled as for all other plastic - there'll be a mark showing what polymer it is - but you should destroy them before leaving them out to collect, for example by sawing the shell in half. If the hat has metal fittings (rivets, etc.) the recyclers won't want it. Other PPE isn't worth the effort - hi-vis jackets are mixed fabrics, and you certainly can't donate them to a charity shop.
