I work for an organisation that is in a partnership with another organisation to run a training establishment.
I have been requested to provide a single H&S Policy statement for the partnership, to be signed by the senior director in each partnership organisation.
I believe that so long as the duties of each director and organisation are clearly stated within the policy, then a joint policy signed by both will be acceptable.
There is a school of thought that two distinct, but complimnetary policies, are required and that any attempt to merge them would not be legal.
Any thoughts?

H&S is about partnership working so I don't see any problem with that at all, in fact I would think that is entirely sensible approach. Let's face it, you are highly unlikely to be challenged and less likely prosecuted for such an approach.
