Can someone put me wise on definitions & difference between the terms rigging & slinging. Also, how do we assess the sling angle once we have rigged the slings to the load without using any instruments?

Rgds,
Prads

Prads Hi,

Both your threads are concerning, to be conducting a lift you must be a trained and competent Slinger Signaller. If you or the person conducting the lift were qualified you would have the knowledge to answer your questions, as all these issues are covered in the training (reputable training providers etc).

In the short term I would contract out the lift, and then go and get the correct training for future lifts.
