Can someone tell me whether the SWL calculated for lifting accessories are after taking into consideration the Safety Factor? For example if the slings should have a safety factor of 5, it means than if the maximum load allowed is 1000 kgs, the actual load it can lift should be 200 (1000/200 = 5).
Is his maximum load the SWL?

If memory serves correctly SWL means Safe Working Load - i.e. the maximum load you can safely lift - and the test load is 25% greater than the marked SWL, unless used for lifting people, when I believe there is a 50% factor applied.
