We commence a construction project in a tidal estuary using pontoons and access via the water. I have to provide advice to our construction team on Health and Safety when working on and around the water. Could anyone advise if there are any HSE or other industry recognised guidance papers on working in these situations.

Try CITB Constructionskills Guidance -GE700? I believe this has a section re working on or near water.

Try:

http://www.bwea.com/pdf/...ety/Marine_HS_Report.pdf

This gives guidance on the construction of marine renewable energy devices.
