Hi,
I am currently preparing presentation about company risk assessments and could you advice me what content should be included within presentation? It is actually for employees on tools so I am looking for basic information.
This is coming to my mind right now:
- Risk Assessment - description
- 5 steps to risk assessment
- how it should be calculated? (matrix)
- what is acceptable what is not
- risk assessment developed within company and SSoW
What more can I add?
Regards
Lukasz

Hi Lucasz, I would also include why we (all) need to do them (not the legal stuff) and what the benefits are to us all, in language to suit your audience.

Lukasz,
I would also think about including some information on how to structure the risk assessment process. Dependent on the environment/area is there any way to conduct the assessments to minimise the number completed - does all similar equipment need an individual assessment or is it more practical to group together, think about the use of generic assessments if appropriate etc.
By explaining this, I've had some success in convincing people that the RA process does not need to be daunting.

Thanks for responses.

Actually it is done General template covering work which should be done, due to fact that employees change location very often. Every document has place for their comments and that is how they can make it site specific if things on site are different from these documented in risk assessments.

As an intro you could ask how many risk assessments they do each day, it may surprise them that it is a process that we all do all the time. Things like driving, crossing the road etc etc.
Worked for me!

I agree with SNS, crossing the road and 'taking this job' are the two I use. The latter gets a good laugh.
Add that RAs need to carried out in situ, not on a bench / desk / office away from the area

I would add a job safety analysis bit where you break down each job into sections and evaluate each area separetely e.g. pre, during and post actions - The 'making a cup of tea example'is a good one to use
