I've been involved in a theoretical discussion.

Has here been any court cases directly related to the competence of the company H&S safety advisor (or provision of advice)

I know about the Sainsbury case.

Incidentally, can anyone direct me to a good internet link that discusses this (sainsburys) in detail - I spent a few fruitless hours going through TSP back copies last night!

Jim

There was the case of the Fattty Arbuckles h&s person and more recently a consultant for a quarry company. Sorry, can't remember the actual case citations, but a Google should provide results. Other than these I know of no other prosecutions of h&s professionals, I am glad to say.

Ray,

Thanks for that - was aware of both of them but they had slipped my mind.

Try as I might I can't find any detail about the sainsbury case - have Googled every combination I can think of, but have only found fleeting references
