Posted By Keith C I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I am looking for case law on PUWER regulation 6 (inspection). I posted a thread a couple of days ago about daily checks in a heavy industrial plant and I want to back it up with some case law. thanks

Posted By Ron Hunter There are "only" about 40 PUWER breaches listed on the HSE website Prosecution database. Unfortunately you have to trawl through each one to determine what specific Reg was breached!

Posted By martinw Keith difficult little suckers to track down re Reg 6, but a couple are as follows: Braine Pressings Ltd HSE prosecution 412259 on 19/02/09 HSE West Midlands press release re A1 Rewinds Ltd - WM/130/09 prosecution date 24/04/09 F+R Crawley Ltd, HSE prosecution 4127389 on 07/01/09. Just from 2009 and they were also prosecuted I believe for other offences eg HASAWA, not just PUWER reg 6 alone. I have not checked 2008 or prior to that so good hunting! Incidentally you can check loads of cases on http://www.hastam.co.uk/hsnews/allentries.php rather than having to wade through the HSE prosecutions database. Saves a bit of time but still have to scroll down when looking for cases etc. Good luck Martin
