Posted By ant_cassidy Specifically for employees with infrequent and limited contact with young persons, can you advise under what circumstances would your organisation instigate CRB check? Have you issued guidance based on cumulative hours contact as a minimum trigger point or something similar?

Posted By martinw Ant CRB have their own website but - best advice can be sought by direct contact with the Independent Safeguarding Authority, who now ostensibly manage procedures and the legislation regarding CRB - in terms of Regulated and Controlled activities within new legislation. You can get them on www.isa-gov.org.uk or better still call them on 0300 123 1111. They will give exact and free advice and are really helpful. Set out the question and they will give exact answers rather than saying it is down to interpretation! Cheers Martin
