Posted By Stuie Hi, can someone tell me if the following scenario is 'reportable' or not please? A shared car park (retail and public house) customer 1 is knocked over by customer 2's car (customer 2 had left the car parked and claimed the handbrake was 'faulty' - although a member of our staff opened the door and applied the cars handbrake - unfortunately after the accident!). Should we as part owners/users report this (police and ambulance attended)? Thanks in advance.

Posted By Stuff4blokes No. Police have a report. That's sufficient. Probably worthwhile keeping full notes, photos, statements etc for when you get dragged in to the civil action by some allegation about faulty property.

Posted By Phil Rose The question on the tip of my tongue is "report it to whom?" You might want to report it to your insurer as a courtesy.

Posted By Ron Hunter This did not arise from, or in connection with, work or work activity. Not therefore reportable to the regulatory authority.
