Posted By D. Hilton 100 BPM is heart rate at rest so O2 consumption would approximate 3 Litres per min or 4.29 grams based on 15 LPM of air. If we are talking BA us, the duration of AIR is based on a notional average of 40 LPM but this can rise to 100 LPM depending on work rate, environment and fitness of the wearer. Duration is calculated as D (minutes) = (P (bar) x C (litres) / N (bar) x 40 LPM) - 10 minutes so duration of 1800 litre cylinder at 200 bar (200* 1800 / 200*40) -10 = 35 minutes

Posted By Phil If it is for confined space or any other BA work, its air consumption you will be after, not Oxygen, as thats what your cylinder will be charged with.
