Posted By Mark Eden Hi All Has any body got a sample of an ergonomic risk assessment for someone with a bad back using a company vehicle. They are not fetching and carrying any. thing just driving from job to job carrying out property inspections. We are trialling a new vehicle to help with them their condition before committing to obtain said vehicle Many Thanks in advance Mark

Posted By A Campbell Mark, Might be an idea to assess the back via occ health? May be more cost effective in the long term rather than looking for a specific vehicle for 1 person?

Posted By Kieran J Duignan Mark You can find what you are looking for in the publications of Steve Pheasant and of Kark Kroemer. To carry out a valid risk assessement in the situation you describe, it's advisable to record accurate measurements of the limbs, trunk and pelvic area of the driver as well as of the force he can exert to control the car, especially on the brake and accelerator. If you'd like to check just what is involved, you can phone me on 020 8654 0808
