Posted By del i work for a company that like to think they take h&s seriously but naff around when it comes to doing anything they sub contract the buildings with other users but always say its someone else's responsibility for the tea room or canten can antone tell me the law on rest areas

So, Assuming you are in the UK (NB not Northern Ireland), and you're not a licensed nuclear site or a lead works or construction site or otherwise temporary or mobile worksite or a fishing boat or any of the other workplaces that have their own little bit of specialist law... The "law" is stated in Reg 25 of the Workplace (Health Safety and Welfare) Regulations '92... see here for details http://www.opsi.gov.uk/s...9923004_en_2.htm#mdiv25.
