Posted By shodger Hi Guys, I am holding a safety day for our employees soon, and apart from the normal boring presentations from management, i would like to do something a little more fun, to lift spirits a bit. I want to use the topic of safety observation, and include some photos, quiz etc, that will get everyone involved and keep everything a bit light hearted and fun. has anyone got any ideas, or stuff that i could use. any help is appreciated steve

Posted By Safety officer I heard of one a while back where the organisers had a couple of boxes of PPE and a couple of volunteers. Two teams had to dress the volunteers in the appropriate PPE for a given task and marks/pressies were awarded for the closest. I think it livened things up and a bit different.

Posted By Gilly Margrave A bit closer to home (as in on this site)are the Wise Up To Work materials. Although they're aimed at young people they work quite well with adults. Have a look at the hazard spotting cartoons at: http://www.wiseup2work.c...k/office.php?goto=folder Gilly

Posted By whitesmar Peter, Your quiz asks some good questions, but I have to differ with some of the answers. OK, I don't know where the manual is kept in your place. In ours, it's on the intranet. That's workplace specific. However, if someone comes across an emergency I do not want them to evacuate the building unless it's appropriate. If an employee finds a colleague blue-faced and suffering central chest pain, that's an emergency. Shouting HELP! is the first reasonable action, along with calling the internal emergency number.

Posted By Peter Zunda whitesmar, everything should be workplace specific, but the quiz is a good pointer towards what the original post requested.
