Posted By Stephen.Jones Hi Can i have some advice guidance on an issue that has arisen from an anti viral collection point? They want to store in bulk very large quantities of Alcohol hand gel (70%isoproprylu alcohol)and currently sits in a wooden cupboard. Initial thoughts is away from any sources of ignition and in a metal flame proof cabinet? Any help would be gratefully received. Many thanks

Posted By Bill Elliott Stephen - fire proof cabinet will be required and if the quantity stored is likely to exceed 50litres then DSEAR will likely apply.

Posted By Ian Blenkharn But on the other hand (both of them actually), it would be far better to get the stuff out of the cupboard and into regular use. I was at a GP surgery on Friday and didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I overheard one of the receptionists remonstrate with a patient not to use two squirts!
