Posted By Phizzle Morning all, Our Building services manager has asked me for confirmation of the standards / regulations for 'air changes' in a new office block being built. Alledgedly, the air should be 'recirculated' x times per hour / day depending on the size of the room and the number of people using it. Not my forte i'm afraid - can anyone point me in the right direction towards the relevant standard / guidance...? Yours hopefully, Ian

Posted By Bill Elliott Phizzle - as already indicated CIBSE do indeed produce guidance but Reg 6 of the Workplace Regulations will help you. The guidance for which indicates that a fresh air supply rate should not normally fall below 5 to 8 litres per second, per employee depending of course on the nature of the work being undertaken.
