Posted By MCK Hello all, Just looking for a bit of advice from anyone that has been in the same situation please, i am totally undecided what to do next and any similar experiences shared would be appreciated. I am CMIOSH through NVQ4 route, Nebosh general and fire certs. I also have IEMA. I have the opportunity for further qualifications - help please?

Posted By S W MSc I think would be the obvious choice (Not that I have completed it, but it's what I would go for if I had the brains!)

Posted By Steve Cartwright Hi MCK A lot will depend on budget and how long you want to carry on studying. I to am CMIOSH and am currently studying law via the OU. Can take up to 6 years to complete. It's very interesting and you can claim plenty of CPD points as well. The only draw back is its a bit expensive.

Posted By Raymond Rapp You could consider doing the Salford MA in H,S&E Law. I completed it last year and found it very interesting and maybe useful. Ray

Posted By FJ Just to add to this- I did the MSc and also NVQ level 5- I would highly recommend both- they are quite different but obviously time and money are major considerations. The Masters stretches you academically (and can be "transferrable" to other disciplines whilst the "Strategy" level 5 can be a good way to build CPD across a variety of areas as well as reassuring one that you can "practice what they preach"
